  • Manual, mechanical cameras: Leica, Hasselblad, Rolleiflex.
  • Wide-angle lenses: Biogon, Distagon, Super-Angulon.
  • Durst Modular 70 enlarger, with 50mm Leitz Focotar and 80mm Schneider Componon lenses.
  • Ilford HP5+ film developed in Rodinal with 50gm/litre of sodium sulphite.
  • Ilford Multigrade RC and FB paper.
  • Being in the darkroom, it's so peaceful.
  • Photos by Cartier-Bresson, Salgado, David Vestal, Jean-Loup Sieff, Giorgia Fiorio, Larry Siegel and very many others.
  • Juan Manuel Fangio, five times World Champion, 24 Grand Prix victories from 51 starts, the greatest Formula One driver of all.
  • Guild acoustic guitars. "Hand built by Guild in an otherwise imperfect world."
  • Starfires and Stratocasters.
  • Latin jazz.
  • Brazilian supergroup Azymuth.
  • Marie-Laure de Decker
  • Cities, especially London, Paris and Antwerp.
  • Gibraltar.
  • Driving on uncrowded roads in France.
  • Not being in any particular hurry.
  • Object-oriented programming languages.
